THIS IS MENT FOR PARMA OR OTHER QUALITY TYPE CONTROLLERS!!
DO NOT DO THIS TO SET TYPE CONTROLERS!!

First off i want to say sure we work on our slot cars a lot trying to get them work there best!
BUT Let's not forget what's actually controlling your slot cars!
Here you will find some simple steps for improving your controllers performance Making
it feel very smooth an prolonging it's life!
I have been doing this for years it's mandatory for me to perform on all my controllers now!
TRY IT AND YOU WILL SEE WHY

THE TOOLS!

In the above picture #1 shown here is the products I use to
perform the controller maintenance .
"From left to right" Com drops for breaking in RC cars motors,
a light weight oil (oil shown is used for HO slots)
and finally some nice Q- Tips

KEEP IT CLEAN!

I the above picture #2 here it shows me using a Q-Tip
to keep things clean and under control!

Most Parma and good quality controllers have openings exposing resister or contacts
if yours don't you can simply cut a hole into the handle so you can do this to yours!

You will get some dirt build up after a while it's really only debris from
the controllers wiper buttons constantly passing over the contacts you
will notice this more than normal because of the use of oils you will be
using to make the contacts run smoother... You can also use a Q-Tip
with rubbing Alcohol to clean this area if you do so let the controller parts
dry fully before using it again (don't want to short nothing out here!)

ADDING THE JUICE!

Here Above in Picture #3 I am applying a few drops
of com drops to the end of a Q-Tip getting ready for application.
( you can also use Tigers Milk & Parma Braid juice here)
I personally like the com drops.

Here in picture #4 above shows me softly and lightly coating
all the contact points that the wiper will slide over .
REMEMBER Just a very light coat is needed!
Better not enough than over oiling I always say!

OILING THE TRIGGER!

oil.JPG - 9269 Bytes
Here in picture #5 shows me giving My controller the final touch!
I oil both sides of the trigger where it rides on the moving points.
Light weight oil is used here..
PS. I also put a drop of oil on the spring ends inside the controller
where they go threw the parts and hook on!
some controllers you can reach the spring some you can't.

AND WAZAM!!
you are done!
Hope you enjoyed it!

You now will have yourself a smooth controller!
it will last longer with less wear!
it will only get smoother the more you use it and keep doing this as a routine!
